Higher Ground is located at milepost 190 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

• From I-77, take exit 8 to Fancy Gap,
• turn right onto Highway 52,
• go to the Parkway exit,
• turn left and go north about nine miles,
• turn right on the first road after milepost 190.

From Martinsville:

• Highway 58 to the Parkway exit,
• turn left and go south for 12 miles,
• take a left on the first dirt road past Puckett's Cabin.

From the Intersection of US 52 and the Blue Ridge Parkway at Fancy Gap, Virginia:

• go North on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mile Post 190 and
• turn right on the first road past the mile marker. ~~
• Due to Park Service regulations, no signs are posted on the Parkway, & driveway is not clearly marked.~~
